What Kind of Marketer do You Want to Be?
Since day one, my goal for Affiliate Cash Secrets has been to help people build an online business - the right way. The sad truth is…many people actually believe it’s possible to make money online without putting forth any effort.
While it’s true, affiliate marketing is the easiest way to get started, it does require some time and effort to be successful at it. You can’t just sign up for a program and expect it to make money for you.
The way I see it, there are three basic levels of Internet marketing and three classes of people who are involved in this industry.
Level one: The Affiliate
The first level of Internet marketing is the most basic and the easiest to do. It involves generating traffic and send people directly to a merchant’s website where they either buy or not. This is a very attractive model for beginners because it does not require a website or any technical skills and you can get started quickly at a very low cost.
Affiliates generate traffic by posting ads on free and paid sites and typically generate anywhere from $0 - $500 a month. And that may be all the money that is desired for this class of people.
Level two: The Super Affiliate
The second level of Internet marketing involves building a list of subscribers that you can market to again and again. Instead of sending visitors directly to a merchant’s website, super affiliates create a squeeze page and send traffic there so they can get them onto their list first.
Super affiliates generate traffic in the same way but also use leverage to build their list faster through joint ventures such as ad swaps and giveaways. They also make a lot more money - typically $1,000 - $5,000 a month. Super affiliate may also sell products that they purchase right to and further increase their profits.
Level three: The Affiliate Manager
The third level of Internet marketing involves creating or acquiring rights to a product and starting your own affiliate program. At this stage, you can stop posting ads because your affiliates do all the work for you. An affiliate manager can typically generate $1,000 - $100,000 a month or more.
Of course, there are different levels within each level. For example, a marketer who has a good back end offer such as a membership site or high-ticket item will make substantially more money than someone who only sells a $47 ebook.
So what does this have to do with Affiliate Cash Secrets?
When I first create Affiliate Cash Secrets, I took a poll of my member base to find out what they really wanted. I asked if they would rather learn how to build a simple squeeze page make money online without a website. Only 30% chose the later.
So I created the software to allow them to create a squeeze page with setting up a hosting account or editing and uploading a squeeze page. Later, I realized that I was actually doing these people a disservice…
See, you’ll never get beyond level one if you can’t create a simple web page and upload it to your server. Seriously. Once you learn the basic skills every marketer should have, making a lot of money online becomes easy.
If you have a list and the ability to edit and host a web page, it’s pretty easy to take advantage of hot opportunities when they come along.
For example, when a new resale rights product comes on the market, you can edit the sales page, hook it up to PayPal and upload it to your server in minutes. Blast an email to your list and have instant cash flow.
Here’s another example…
You can create a pre-sell page for a big-ticket items like Ryan Deiss’ 30 Days to 10K program or MME3 and offer a bonus to increase your sales.
While I’m a firm believer in automation, I now realize that by using template-driven squeeze page generators or site builders, you’re really pacifying yourself and limiting your potential as an Internet marketer.
If you just want to push a button and make money, then be a level one affiliate and spend two hours a day posting ads. But if you want to go beyond that limitation, then you need to learn the basics.
And that brings me to the point of this post…
The new edition of Affiliate Cash secrets is now a 70-page training manual that takes you step by step through the process of setting up a squeeze page, generating traffic, and making money promoting affiliate products to your list.
It also includes a quick start package with a squeeze page system, two brandable ebooks and a tutorial, “The 7-Day Challenge,” that shows you how to set the whole thing up. It really is a turnkey system.
There are several bonuses including a free 30-day trial to the ACS Insiders Club. You can ask any questions you may have about affiliate marketing. I have a team of marketing coaches standing by to help you build your business.
Affiliate Cash Secrets will sell for $47 and affiliates will make 100% commission on every sale. Click here to see the new sales letter. Current Gold members get a free copy.
The site and the new member’s area goes live Monday, June 11th, 2007. I’m looking forward to helping you build your Internet business.

Derrick,
What you say here is very true. If you want to move forward with your internet business and reach level 2 and 3 you need to have the basic skills of uploading pages to your own website and editing them.
Derrick,
Re: “You can’t just sign up for a program and expect it to make money for you.”
That needed to be said!
I see it all the time. And people say, “it doesn’t work”.
Wrong! What doesn’t “work” is the individual. People believe that reading emails for hours, or reading through the latest course or two (or three), and surfing the net all day is work.
Sure it takes up most of the day and it “feels” like work, but it “ain’t” work.
And if you are making attempts, don’t expect to get a slam dunk right off. Persistence pays off.
I’m one of the laziest guys on the Internet and I hate to get off my tail and do something because I know it’s going to take alot of work. But I do it anyway.
“Successful people DO what nobody else wants to do!”
Regarding ACS, anyone who gave up and quit needs to re-evaluate their goals and get back in. You have to commit to something or you’ll succeed at nothing.
I just wanted to throw in my ‘2 cents’ worth. I hope it hits home with someone who needed to hear it.

OK Derrick,
Per my EM to you Saturday, you seem to be supplying me in your Affiliate program what I’m looking for as a first baby step with guidance toward more advanced internet working down the line.
In for a penny, in for a pound. I’m signing up to start at Level One and see what I can do with it.
I find that most of the affiliate programs that everybody is promoting is actually about marketing affiliate programs and how to make money.
When I want to market real brick and mortar products for affiliate merchants, there is hardly any opportunity to reach to level 2 or 3. This is because the resale products created usually talks about making money only and not specifically about the brick and mortar information.
That’s a hot post(like Derrick, hihihi). Like it a lot!
It’s totally true and I agree 100%. May I add that it does help to be passionate about the market you enter too? Oops, already did :o).
I like the manner in which your entry is structured. Either consciously or subconsciously, the message that comes through is starting from level one, getting that pat and then going on to level 2.
I think the message here is about getting the basics right before going on to the more advanced levels of affiliate marketing.

This email just hit the spot about what I have been doing for the past 12 months but not anymore.
