How To Set Up Your Follow-Up Sequence to Track Open Rates And Clicks

If you want to get the best results from your followup series, then you need to know which messages are getting opened and which links are clicked.
You can use the tracking features at Aweber to see how many people are opening your messages. Then you can fine-tune your subject lines to increase your
open rate.
To use this feature you need to enable open-rate tracking in list settings. Then you need to format your message in both text and HTML.
I don’t use any formatting in my HTML emails because it’s much more effective when an email appears to be plain text.
Here’s why…
First, if you use bold or colored text, it looks more like a sales letter rather than a personal email.
Second, it becomes obvious you’re reading HTML and the trick I’m about to show you won’t work.
When you’re promoting an affiliate product, you can enter the actual URL and then link the text to your affiliate link.
For example, if you click the link below, you’ll be taken to a different page on my site:
http://affiliatecashsecrets.com
You can also enable click tracking for each message. That will help you determine which links are getting clicked the most so you can modify your messages to increase your click-through rate.
Combining open-rate tracking and click tracking is a very powerful tool. Plus, it looks better…
Instead of seeing the long, ugly tracking link, your readers simply see the URL to the site.
The easiest way to create the HTML message is to copy and paste the text message and then create a hyper link from the text link. Then copy and paste that link.
